What to Bring to the the 2008 Family Reunion

Average Temperatures for St. Petersburg during early July

High - 90 degrees Low - 90 Degrees

Suggested Clothing

Florida during the summer months typically is very warm. At the same time, most activities will be indoors in air-conditioning so the trick becomes what do I do to stay cool enough, and at the same time feel comfortable during presentations.

In addition to clothing, consider bringing:

Your Dialogue notebooks and pens

Water bottle

Suntan lotion

Items(s) for the silent auction

Camera

Flip flops

Bathing Suit

Sunglass

Hat

Remember your medicines (if you have any)

Pin Exchange

Start collecting pins to trade with other encountered couples during the reunion. Basically, the exchange works like this: someone walks up to you and offers a pin they are wearing with one that you have on. As the weekend continues, this is a great opportunity to exchange pins, but more importantly this gives you the chance to get to know another attendee.

Area Banners

As with other past Reunions, we would like to have as many area and district banners to display at the reunion as possible. Think of the message we send to anyone seeing the procession from one building to another as the weekend reunion starts.

Let's have lots of banners from around the world, from Districts, from nations, from Areas, from Circles, even representing individual Couples!  Think about themes that fit with the Reunion Theme - Let the Son Shine! - or any of the Keeping Your Relationship a Priority concepts.  You could even design or bring anything that expresses your love for each other or the Lutheran Marriage  Encounter's ministry!
